- Have you ever wondered how many candidates currently in your database could fill some of your open requisitions? Sourcing candidates to interview from scratch every time you need to hire can quickly drain your recruitment budget. You may have interviewed a candidate for a different position who could fill one of your current jobs. Instead of searching your entire database, add some controls to your process. Tag candidates that you could see yourself hiring in the future. You may determine that you only search candidates who have already been interviewed for another position, or candidates who were referred by another employee. The database is only useful when it's easy to navigate. All candidates need to be tagged so it's easy to find them later as you reach out to candidates for interviews.
