- [Narrator] In the realm of language, essentially all technologies rely on the field of natural language processing or NLP. The examples I'll go over include intelligent chatbots, unstructured information management, sentiment analysis, and speech analytics. Let's start with chatbots. You've most certainly seen or interacted with chatbots before. They are those chat windows that frequently pop up at the bottom of websites, sometimes to sell you something, other times to help you with a service request. Chatbots simulate a conversation digitally using either a defined rule set for responses. If you say this, I respond with that. Or using deep learning response generation for intelligent chatbots. This distinction's important because while rules-based chatbots have existed for decades, the truly impressive achievements in the modern day have centered around intelligent chatbots that can more closely resemble human dialogue.…
