- Setting up for asynchronous collaboration means you get to start with the end in mind and then just work backwards. In all our facilitated work, we always have a session goal. You facilitate the teams to achieve that outcome, that output. So first, be clear what is produced during your session. Then you think about what format this product will need to take. The format helps you think about what actual artifacts will be done. And then simply layer on your participants' meeting tool of choice. Like for instance, if you're working on a project plan and your team uses Microsoft Teams, then having a task list set up for the participants to access might be best. Or if you're wanting to brainstorm and ideate when working together on Google Meets, then having a Lucidspark board can be a great solution. Again, the meeting space should be easy for everyone.
