Plan an engaging agenda for a hybrid meetings
- Failing to plan means you might be planning to fail, that a great session can begin before your first participant even shows up. Yep. How? That's the planning work. An engaging hybrid event that fosters collaboration with a focus on outcomes emerges from an engaging agenda. So let's build an engaging agenda. First, write down the desired outcome, what is produced at the end of the session. This is your meeting goal, a good habit for any type of meeting. Then identify what the starting point is. Be clear where you or, more importantly, the team is starting from. Now, it may feel natural to think about the steps that gets us from where we're at to where we want to be. But then where is engagement on your agenda? Instead, write some general ideas that will get the group engaged towards that goal. But then the trick and challenge is to remove 20% of your agenda. We call this a 20/20 agenda where you take out 20% of your planned items to allow space for 20% more engagement and…
