- The day has arrived. It's go time. Your interview day is the culmination of everything that you've been working towards, so do whatever it takes to make the absolute most of it. Now, the core interview itself, whether that's in person or on video, it probably won't vary a ton from those you may have gone on for local jobs, but there are a few additional things to think about when you're pursuing a job in a different city. First, realize that this is your shot at getting an up close and personal look at that company's culture and vibe. If they've flown you in for a day or two, this is probably the only time that you'll be on site before your first day. Make the absolute most of that. So here's what I would do. Ask to tour the facility, unless that's already on your agenda. And as you walk around, take note of the people that you pass by and that you meet. Do they seem engaged, happy? Like they get along…
