A charge for organizational leaders

- It's obvious that the world is more diverse than ever before. And this means that organizations can no longer afford to have the same table with the same people occupying the same seats. I call this a going out of business strategy, because if they do not reflect the diversity of their workforces, their clients, customers, or communities, they will become irrelevant. Much of this course was focused on underrepresented or minority talent who desire a seat at the table, or who want to know how to maximize the opportunity when they get it. But I would be remiss if I didn't pose a call to action to those who are in a position of influence, power, and authority and are considered a member of the majority group in the organization. Your role is critical in creating the kind of work environment where all talent can thrive, regardless of their gender, race or ethnicity, different ability, their culture, thinking style,…
