How to raise your rates
- Will they be upset? What if they're not willing to pay that? Will they say no? If you're like me, I'm sure you've had these questions pop up when thinking about raising your rates. It seems scary at first. But raising your rates is a common and important aspect of growing your freelance business. As you get better at what you do, more clients will want to work with you. But that doesn't mean you suddenly have more time. Think about the classic supply and demand curve from economics. If your demand increases and supply does not, the price increases along with it. So when you begin having more clients trying to hire you, it's time to increase you're prices. Step one is determining your new rates.
