What is life like as a design freelancer?
- As a design freelancer, you may be tasked with interaction design efforts or visual design efforts. Or, perhaps, if you're qualified, you'll be needed for both. Sure, you can certainly do UX activities beyond design, but by and large, when you advertise yourself as a designer, you should really have a solid expertise in whatever aspects of UX design you advertise. As a designer primarily focused on interaction design, you may be tasked with high-level strategic decisions about how the interface will behave, as well as designing smaller nuances related to user interaction. You may help create interface requirements, and then provide your client with some illustrations. These could take the form of mockups, wireframes, user task flows, or simple, clickable prototypes.
