- [Instructor] All right, in this chapter, we're going to cover something called ANOVA. ANOVA stands for the Analysis of Variance. And before we get there, let's figure out where we just came from. We've been comparing populations. Up until now, we've been comparing two populations. How are they similar? How are they different? But ANOVA allows us to compare not two groups or not two populations but rather, three or more populations. And we're able to see whether or not they're the same or they're different. And if there is variance, is there variance between the groups or within the groups? So let's begin our journey in ANOVA here. And let's say that we have these three groups that are given to us. Maybe it's exam scores, maybe these are customer satisfaction scores for three different companies but these are three different groups. And each, we've grabbed a sample of three scores.
