- [Instructor] Excel's XLOOKUP function was introduced in late 2019, and for many Excel users, it's been a real game changer. Not only is it easier to work with than either VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP, it encompasses all the capabilities of those functions and it's got a few more attributes as well. Some of these you'll see in the blue panel listed below here. Also, as we work with this, you'll see some additional capabilities you see in that yellow box to the right there. We'd like to take the ratings that we see in column E here on this worksheet called XLOOKUP Exact. We want to convert that into a numerical score. You might have seen something similar in the previous movie as we talked about how VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP can handle this kind of a situation. =xl, just press Tab, it pops it into place.
