Use your power as an ally and accomplice

- As we think about how these conversations can actually lead to action steps, let's break down three terms, actor, ally, and accomplice. So an actor is someone who is an observer of these events. An ally is someone who thinks about them deeply and wants to do more. And an accomplice is someone who actually has skin in the game, who's willing to risk their own personal comfort and possibly safety to actually work on behalf of someone who they feel is put in an inequitable or an unjust situation. And so many people who are actors think that there are allies, and many people who are allies think that they're accomplices. So there are many questions you can ask yourself, the first question is, when are you okay being a bystander?
