- Hello, and welcome back to another edition of Building Your Technology Skills. My name is Martin Guidry. This week we're gonna be talking about Naming an Active Directory Domain. This week's segment was inspired by a real problem I had on my internal network, so I'm gonna take you through some of the steps I used to diagnose the problem, and troubleshoot the problem, and some of the solutions I've come up with. From time to time, I've noticed on my network that Group Policy is not being applied consistently. And being this happened on a handful of servers, I assumed it was something wrong with the domain controller, did some troubleshooting and investigating on the domain controller, and didn't find any real issues, and then moved my attention to some of the clients. And I did find something interesting on the client, and I'll show you. I'll pull up Event Viewer, I'm gonna open up Windows Logs, and then look at the System Log.
