- [Instructor] Every startup is faced with a decision about when to build processes internally, and when to outsource that work to service providers. These service providers represent another type of third party relationship that has an impact on your cybersecurity program. There are a few specific types of service providers I have in mind here, first and foremost, your startup might choose to build out solutions in cloud service providers, like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. You might also choose to hire a managed services provider, or MSP, to provide IT services for your startup. Things like provisioning laptops and setting up user accounts. And a managed service provider is different from a managed security services provider, or MSSP, where an MSP would support end users and day-to-day operations, an MSSP would monitor your network for potential security events and incidents.
