- Let's recall for a moment that learning and memory are inextricably linked. You can't have one without the other. If you can't remember what you've learn, then it's as though you never really learned it. And on the flip side, once what you have learned is stored in your long-term memory, if provides the essential foundation for the future learning of new ideas, concepts, and skills. As we've already learned, focused attention during eLearning session is a critical factor in forming memories. Now let's explore how memory itself plays an important indispensable role in the learning process. First, let's review how memories of what we learn are stored in our brains. These memories are actually generated at a vast web of associations. In other words, a memory of a particular learning doesn't sit snugly in a folder that is filed away in a cabinet in our heads.
