- [Instructor] Once again we're staying in our 08_AutoCADdrawing.dwg file. Now, something we haven't looked at in any detail is our layer translator in our CAD standards panel. So, jump to the manage tab here and what we're going to do, we going to go to the CAD standards panel here and click on layer translator. So, you should have saved the drawing, the 08_AutoCADdrawing.dwg file as you've worked through the videos and we're going to go to layer translator like so. Now, the layers that you've got are the layers here in the drawing, so you can see that we've got the hidden layer, the objects layers and so on. They're all in place there like so. Now, what we can do is we can translate to a new layer. Now, I can either load the layers from another drawing, I can list a drawing, click on load and load up a drawing if I want to or I can create a new layer there and then. Now, if I translate a layer, what it means is that a new layer cannot be created with the same name as an existing…
