Setting up standard text styles
- [Instructor] So in the previous videos in this chapter, we've setup the new drawing, the 05_StandardMetricTemplate.dwg file. We've setup our layers, and we've setup our units. What we're going to do now is setup another standard element in the AutoCAD drawing. One which is checked when you are running a standards audit using the DWS file, which is the text style. Now, the quickest way to get to your text styles I always find is Home tab on the ribbon, click on the fly-out on the Annotation panel, and there it's using the Standard text style. If I click on the A with the paintbrush, takes me into the Text Style dialog box. Now, the Standard text style as you can see uses the font name Arial. Now that's in AutoCAD 2018 I hasten to add. Older versions of AutoCAD it might have used a different font. Now, we're going to create a new text style. So we click on New, and this will be a new standard text style that we're going to use for various things on our AutoCAD drawings. So what we'll…
