Setting up a standard title block
- [Instructor] We're starting another chapter now in our AutoCAD developing CAD standards course. In the previous chapter, we looked at setting up all of the standard settings, including some that you use with your CAD standards in the model tab. We've now got a new drawing open which is 06_StandardMetricTemplate.dwg, and we're going to look at setting up what we would set up as a standard in the layout tabs. Now you'll remember, we created all the layers, dimension styles, text styles, in the previous chapter. All of them are in this drawing so you can download this drawing from the website and use it as an exercise file to follow along with the videos in this chapter, knowing that you've already got things like your layers, for example, from the previous chapter. So all of this drawing here is all set up and ready for you to use and to start, in essence, from scratch, working with the layout side of things.
