Finding the layer translation log file
- [Narrator] We're staying in our 08_Autocad drawing.dwg file and in the previous video we looked at translating our layers using that layer translator. So if we translated a layer onto a new layer name for example what we could do is translate and create a new DWS file from the translation, or if we translated and didn't create a new standard file it would create a cad standards violation because we were changing a layer name that obviously went against the existing associated DWS file. Now obviously what I did with that layer translation was I kept a record. Do you remember the dialogue box that pops up? It said I could translate only or translate and obviously remember the translation path. Now what it does is it puts it into a log file with the same name as the cad file. So I'm now looking for a log file called 08_Autocad drawing.log, and the good thing is it remembers it and puts it in the same folder as where you save your drawing. So if I just quickly jump into Windows Explorer…
