Agile planning: Five levels

- A big agile myth is that there isn't any planning, but planning makes all the difference. In agile, planning is based on the value and outcomes rather than schedule and resources. We plan agile initiatives based on the outcomes and then chunking out the outcomes into pieces that we can get real feedback on. The five levels of agile planning are vision, roadmap, release, iteration, and daily planning. The vision sets the stage for who we are building the product for, the value it needs to provide them, and the market differentiator, or difference, from what today's solution is and what we want to achieve. It's customer and user outcome focused. The vision isn't technical or task focused. Next is the roadmap level. This is where we plan the major increments and in what order we'll guide our path.
