Senior Controls Engineer

John Charles Search is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer on behalf of our client, a global leader in automation solutions for various industries including electronics & much more! This role will provide leadership in designing, developing, and implementing control systems tailored to client specifications. The position involves leading projects, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement custom control solutions for automation equipment.
• Lead project execution and mentor junior engineers.Troubleshoot electrical designs and schematics (NFPA and ISO).
• Collaborate with clients, ensuring deadlines and project requirements are met.
• Work with PLCs & HMIs (Rockwell, Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff), as well as industrial robotics and machine vision applications (Cognex, Keyence).

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• • 10+ years of experience working with PLC and SPLC platforms in the
• automation industry.
• • Experience with safety PLCs and failsafe electrical designs.
• • Skilled in handling industrial robots, machine vision, and safety devices.
• • Strong organizational, communication, and client management skills.
• • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
