The cutthroat power struggle within US Soccer is plunging the sport into a downward spiral, with MLS at the forefront of the controversy. Accusations of MLS deliberately sabotaging the USL in a bid to cling onto its dominance are rife, exposing a desperate grasp for power. This calculated move by MLS comes as no surprise, considering its ongoing assault on the USL's modest strides in lower league soccer. The recent demise of USL San Diego serves as a grim reminder of the ruthless tactics employed by MLS to crush any potential competition. Such ruthless maneuvers not only stifle the growth of the sport but also erode the very essence of healthy competition that soccer thrives on. Electronic Arts is bringing back its beloved College Football video game for the first time in over a decade. And they’re offering college players $600 and a copy of the game if they will allow their likeness to be included. This is a big deal. But will this payment structure work? Part of the reason EA’s college football game went away despite selling millions of copies annually is because the court ruled that the company was profiting off college athletes’ likenesses without compensating them. Now the game is back with new features and an entirely new business model. But will star players take a small payout to allow their likeness to be included in the game now that they are getting large endorsement deals in other categories? These players know their worth now. And if EA can't secure the college's top players, will the game find the same success it once had?  Time will tell. Will you be picking up College Football 25? A score over 100 means this player’s throwing arm is stronger than his body weight - that gives a new perspective into the BIGGER FASTER STRONGER training paradigm. If the proximal body from the shoulder down is your training priority, getting athletes to gain huge amounts of lean mass to thro hard, ensure your players don’t have wet noodles for arms. This is a fact: The majority of North American Pro Pitchers, pound for pound, have the weakest throwing arms in the game. Let’s change it.

If you're a coach or agent, please take this into account before setting expectations for your players based on the data from portable devices. Avoid directly comparing it with Hawk-Eye data, as teams have access to a wide range of device data and understand the variations between them. We're in an exciting tech era in the industry.
