As I round off, let me now quickly share with you how to craft worthwhile goals. This is so important because it is the quality of your goal that will determine the quality of your Success. I always encourage my clients to go for Goliath projects, even goals that will enthrone on successful attainment. So how can one craft such goals 2. Before telling you the popular strategy for writing goals, it is important I share with you a secret that is not too popular in the world. First wait on the Lord to confirm or know your life purpose or assignment. Remember Bro. Paul's first question after getting saved. Your life goals must be drawn from your life purpose. Your life purpose is often linked with your talent, special ability and gifts. Once you know this, get a Coach or Mentor in your area of calling and talent. Follow him or her doggedly. Also ensure your choice of subjects and profession are aligned with your life purpose. This are vital keys to fulfillment in life. Time will not permit me to dwell more on this vital point. By the mercy of God you will not miss it. Having established this vital foundation for great success in life, let me now tell you the popular technique of writing good goals 3. It is by simple application of the SMART goal principle. But don't stop there. The Holy Spirit gave me two extra points in addition to the acronym. That is US. So we now have SMART-US. Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Time-bound, Useful (to at least 1 million people), and Sustainable (for life). Always run with SNART-US goals to attain great success in life. 4. It is the dogged application of the SMART-US principle and the law of TODAY (TODAY being the most important day of your life), all in the spirit of Joshua 1:8 that will catalyse the attainment of great success. 5. As I close, remember that living without a goal is living like a goat (Bishop). And there can be no true success without a smart-us goal. Also know that goals without solid plan and programme of pursuit is a balloon dream. 6. Be determined to walk the talk. Be self disciplined. Be focused. Be resilient. Be assertive. Have a possibility mentality. ALL YOU NEED IS GOD, NOT MONEY. Neither is your help abroad but from above. Remember Joseph, David, Daniel and Esther. 7. To remain on top, keep applying the Japanese Kaizen principle - focused continuous improvement 8. YOU WILL SUCCEED!

Permit me to stand on already established Protocol 2. I heartily congratulate the 21st Graduating set of Faith Academy Canaanland. 3. I bring good tidings from Covenant University, and specifically from College of Leadership and Development studies 4. I have been requested to talk on EMBRACING CHANGE: NAVIGATING PATHS TO SUCCESS BEYOND GRADUATION. 5. The keywords and phrase here are: Embracing, Change, Navigating and Paths to Success. But the important important words to pay attention to are Change and Success. Because of time constraints, permit me to assume you already know meaning of embrace, navigate and path. So I will be dwelling on Change & Success 6. Let me start with the concept of Change. This is a simple but powerful word. Change is sine qua non to growth and development. This simply means that one hardly experience tangible positive growth in any area of life without corresponding positive changes. Change the way you use your time. Change your friends and associations where necessary. Change the social media platforms you visit. Change the videos and films you watch. Change the books you read. Change your thinking pattern. Change your eating pattern. Change your dressing pattern. Change your study pattern. Review your life and make necessary changes. Get a Coach. 7. Know this, we cannot expect to get a a different result if we keep doing things the same way without making positive Changes. Someone jokingly said such an expectation is another definition of madness. 8. Also understand that Change, positive change, is an indispensable tool for attaining good success. Continuous positive change is what moves you forward towards to attainment of your set goals. 9. Why is this progressive advancement so important? Because it has everything to do with Success. 10. So what is Success? I know there are many definitions out there, but I love simplicity. Hence one of my best definitions is this: Success is the attainment of set goal. With this simple definition you can see that you can have multiple successes in a day. This automatically serves as motivation to attain more successes. The wisdom therefore is to wisely craft your life goal and break it down into annual, monthly, weekly and daily goals ... all wisely knitted. It is the achievement of those daily goals that will ultimately lead to the achievement of your life goals and purpose. So you succeed gloriously in life. Student/Employee: Engages in academic and workplace learning activities, gaining practical experience and industry-specific skills. 2. Types of Work-Based Learning Work-based learning can take several forms, each providing different levels of engagement and practical exposure: 1. At Work (Trainee): Students are directly involved in workplace activities, performing tasks under supervision. 2. For Work (Placement): Students participate in work placements, internships, or co-op programs, learning through observation and participation. 3. Through Work (Accreditation): Recognising and accrediting workplace learning, allowing students to earn academic credits for their practical experiences. Benefits of Work-Based Learning 1. Enhanced Employability: Students gain practical skills and experience, making them more attractive to employers. 2. Industry-Relevant Skills: Curricula are designed with employers, ensuring graduates possess in-demand skills. 3. Turning to our continental compass, we are in the last month of the year 2024! I have participated and watched numerous university graduations! Congratulations to each of you that got credentialed this year! Indeed, Africa’s digital natives are hungry for quality education for the transformation of individual, societal, national and continental well-being. For this generation to be fully engaged, we must offer them a mindset and a healthset that emanates from embracing LEADERSHIFT practices. LEADERSHIFT demands that virtuous living is not at the level of superficiality (as it has often happened with debased LeaderSHIP) but core to every decision making process(es), standard(s) or instrument(s) that we utilize for the well-being of all peoples. LEADERSHIFT celebrates the young leaders who are emerging and are determined to ensure that corruption is not their vocabulary; negative ethnicity is not heroism; pleasure without accountability is not their symbol; charisma without character is not their portion; and integrity is their bottom line pursuit! Challenge: Helping rural students in Northern Nigeria to gain access to quality education. 1. Define the Design Challenge: How can we provide accessible, quality education to students in rural areas of Northern Nigeria who face logistical, technological, and resource barriers? 2. Empathy Phase: Conducting user research will help us understand the needs, challenges and desires of the users. This could involve: Interviews: Speak with students, teachers, and parents to understand their daily struggles with education. -Observations: Visit the community and observe the day-to-day schooling environment and lifestyle. Pay attention to things like: - Distance to school. - Available learning materials. - Student participation in lessons. 3. Define Phase, Mind Mapping: Create a mind map to explore and break down the problem further, looking at related factors like technology, cultural challenges, infrastructure, and education resources. Mind Map Example: Main Challenge: Lack of access to quality education in rural areas. Sub-challenges: Technology: Limited internet, lack of devices. Infrastructure: Distance to schools, poorly equipped classrooms. Cultural Factors: Parental involvement, gender education disparity. Learning Materials: Outdated textbooks, lack of engaging resources. Motivation: Students' struggle to stay motivated without adequate resources. 4. Ideation Phase: Brainstorming Generate ideas that address the challenges surfaced in the research and mind map. Using brainstorming to come up with solutions. Brainstorming Ideas: -Create offline, mobile-based education apps. -Develop community learning hubs with preloaded educational materials. -Design low-data learning platforms that work on basic smartphones. -Partner with local radio stations to broadcast educational content. -Create a mentorship program where urban students/teachers volunteer remotely to guide rural students. 5. Prototype Phase: We can now choose one of our ideas and create a quick, low-fidelity prototype to test. For instance: Idea to Prototype: Offline Mobile Learning App - Key Features: -Downloadable lessons in local languages. -Interactive quizzes that work without the internet. -Progress tracking to motivate students. -Lightweight and accessible on basic mobile phones. -Prototype Tools: We use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or paper prototyping. 6. Test Phase: User Feedback We test our prototype with real users—students, parents, and teachers—and gather feedback: - What do they like about the app? - What challenges did they face when using it? - Does it address their educational needs? #My1stPhDGiant💕 Part III Thesis Title: Indigenous Identity, Social Integration, and Digital Content Creation among University Students in Southwest Nigeria The findings of the research were interesting as well as thought-provoking. First, it helped remove the perception that digital technologies are imperialistic tools. Digital technologies, if used purposefully through the concept of Translingualism, promote the course of Indigenous languages. This underscores that African governments have to be at the forefront of initiating policies for the proper usage and adoption of digital technologies for their development. A situation that is largely absent in many African countries. The youths have taken their destinies into their own hands, determining what they do with these technologies. Secondly, there is a rich skill set among youths as far as innovations in creating digital content, but this is not matched in terms of cognitive levels of the youths, Although social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram enable students to display technical mastery of audio, videos, voice overlay, graphic design and animation, students were not upbeat in creating intellectual content that speaks truth to power or engages their everyday realities in critical and thought-provoking ways. Students were, however, socially integrated among themselves, connecting more with themselves than with school authorities or other institutions like the government. This lack of social integration among the youths with authorities at this level becomes a source of concern even as digital media can be harnessed to bridge this dichotomy. Perhaps one of the most interesting discoveries of this research is that our indigenous languages do not have to go extinct because of the presence of digital technologies and social media, rather, these digital technologies can be utilised to upscale the usage of indigenous languages among the youths and the larger adult group.
