Dave the Diver is getting a Godzilla DLC, and it is free!! This new DLC will see Dave come face-to-face with the might Godzilla himself, though in keeping with the true spirit of Godzilla you won’t be fighting the big lizard so much as helping it overcome one of its adversaries, Ebirah, Horror of the Deep, from the 1966 live-action movie of the same name. Players will need to pilot the G-Force submarine to take Ebirah on, and work alongside Godzilla to protect the planet from the mighty crustacean’s threat. You can claim this DLC right now from the below digital console and PC storefronts, and you’ll need to do so before November 23rd, 2024, because it’s only available until then. How I play video games with my non-gamer partner 🎮💑 (𝘚𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 2017) So, Vessel of Hatred just dropped. Since Diablo is our go-to game, I've got some hard-earned wisdom from years of roaming the Sanctuary together. 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵. I'm all about the endgame. I would just storm through the initial stage, but I let my gf take the lead. I don't need to optimize for every 0.5% of damage. I'm just enjoying slaying demons 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝘆. She can ask, "Where do I heal?" and "Where do you click to get on the horse?" as many times as she needs. Not everyone is used to playing games. She might have forgotten how the controls work, so I'm just being helpful. 💡 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲. I don't freak out when she's building a character as she likes. Just because I wouldn't play that way doesn't mean she isn't having fun. 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗿. If she says after 30 minutes that it's enough, then it's enough. Games can be overwhelming. I'm very used to playing Diablo and half the time I'm just looking at the health bar and CD on my skills because I have no clue wtf is going on the screen. Honestly, I'm writing this down more as a reminder to myself. While I'm casual, I do like to optimize every damn 0.05% of damage I can get! 😅 But at the end of the day, I'm just grateful to have a partner willing to enter the Burning Hells with me. That's the real mythic unique loot. (Terrible joke, I know, even I cringed.) Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. 🎤 Fellow gamers, how does it look at your households? You don’t have time to review 1500 voice auditions. Last year we cast and produced the voice performances for a AAA game title. It had 19 main characters. We received over 1,500 auditions. Casting & voice producing these projects requires: 1. Time. 2. Resources. - Hours to prepare casting calls / respond to agents - Days to review and listen to auditions - Weeks to schedule and project manage - Months to record & edit The number one issue our clients come to us with is - a lack of time and resources! Enter the Casting Director and Voice Producer. - Allow you to focus on other aspects of your production - You have a dedicated VO Production team with 100% focus Now, doesn’t this sound better? If you cast actors who: - Aren’t the right match for the character > the immersive experience will fail - Are in every game > every game starts to sound the same - Lack diversity & authenticity > your game will fail - Don’t have the required experience > you’ll go over budget - Don’t charge the market rate > you get a hobbyist - Have a home studio that’s really a cupboard with a duvet > you need to re-record - Have the wrong attitude > you need to re-cast Sometimes you don’t have the budget. You might even be too ambitious. All the wrong reasons not to outsource. If the actor isn’t a match for the project, they deserve better. 🔥 HYBRIDCASUAL IS ON FIRE! 🔥 ”TRASH TYCOON IDLE EMPIRE” BY SUPERSONIC & FUNCELL Hi, Mobile Gaming Family! 😍 The big publisher Supersonic from Unity has posted an insightful case study (link in the comments) on its recently released Hybridcasual game, “Trash Tycoon Idle Empire”. ♻️👷 Idle Tycoon is one of the game genres closest to Hypercasual. Despite the depth of the narrative, its clicker mechanics are very accessible. 👆 Not by chance, several Hypercasual publishers have released Tycoon titles. And now, in the Age of Hybridcasual, Tycoon has moved onto the development roadmap of the big publishers. “Trash Tycoon Idle Empire” is developed by Funcell Games . Funcell is a prominent studio with a portfolio of games with more than 300MM downloads. 🤯 They developed big hits such as “Idle 9 Months” (46MM) and “Dog Life Simulator!” (34MM). 👏 According to NextBigGames , life simulators are one of Funcell's core specialties. With more than 40 employees (according to their LinkedIn page), the Indian developer 🇮🇳 has extensive publishing experience with top references in the market, such as Homa, Crazy Labs, Kwalee, BoomHits, and… Supersonic. 😉 “Trash Tycoon” is not their first partnership. Together, they released big hits such as “Perfect Lie” (30MM) and “Hyper Hostess” (10MM). With “Trash Tycoon”, Supersonic and Funcell take another solid step towards Hybridcasual. 💪 And the partnership looks promising. 🤝 With the daily support of the Supersonic team, Funcell has implemented improvements to the game. Instead of using delayed gratification (a common strategy in monetizing idle simulators), the teams decided to offer constant progression by small upgrades, increasing engagement. 😍 Using a dedicated task force and an AI consultancy, they rebalanced the game's economy, finding innovative pressure points for monetization. 💰 Last but not least, the Supersonic and Funcell teams polished the UX of the game, tweaking the tutorial, interface, store, etc. What were the achievements? 🤔 👇 Look that! 👀 ⬆️ 45% IAP revenue share. ⬆️ 10 % D14 retention These KPIs impacted performance. According to AppMagic , since May “Trash Tycoon” has seen continuous growth, accumulating more than $1.5MM in IAP revenue and 6.6MM downloads. 📈 Congratulations to the Funcell and Supersonic teams for this excellent work! 👏

It's already been two weeks of trying to make this work, but this is so awesome! The Brandon Herrera video of the AK50 mainly inspired this gun... I know it is not perfect yet but it is working and I am soo happy about that😁😁😁!!! The AR Rack mechanic and the 2-handed holding mechanic were easy things to get working. The most I suffered was to get the magazine attached to the gun, and working fine. Finally, my brain began to fry with logic: if the weapon is racked, the bullet should move into the gun, and if we rack again, the bullet should come out of the gun and get replaced by another bullet. Honestly, I have to make another gun, which has to be added to the game. Each step presented some challenges within itself here or there, but overcoming them has been gratifying. Now that I’ve got the basic mechanics functioning, I can move forward with developing more complex features. I’m excited to work on the next phase and see how it enhances the overall experience.

12 things that destroy a game voice recording session: 1. Not allocating enough time to casting 2. Not working with a casting director 3. Not sending clear instructions (call sheets) well in advance 4. Not sending scripts & character bios well in advance 5. Not having an experienced voice director 6. Trying to record too many lines in a session 7. Not taking notes / having a note taker during the session 8. Not testing a remote talent's home studio in advance 9. Having too many people on the call / in the session 10. Giving the actor a "read" 11. Having a negative attitude (cast or crew) 12. Not working collaboratively / as a team Avoid these at all costs. Genuinely would love to hear what you would add to this list.
