How can you align your company's branding with its tone of voice?
This post reminds me of all the ads I see on social media promoting how they can train Chapt GPT to generate content in "your brand's voice." The idea of matching your copy tone or brand voice to your brand identity assumes that customers know or care about your brand. It is an arrogant and flawed assumption to think that you are interesting to the vast majority of your customers. You're not. Behavioral science is pretty clear on this one. Customers are way more interested in themselves and reaching their aspirational goals than they are with your brand. Therefore, you should build a brand voice and identity to match your customer's voice, not yours. Their words. Their motivations. Their tonality. Their stories.

How is artificial intelligence disrupting market research?
We’re using synthesis AI via natural language processing models to identify subconscious decision drivers hidden in unstructured data like interview transcripts, open-ends and product reviews. Then taking these insights and use generative AI to design new marketing activations. I haven’t had good experiences with using large language models to write research summaries. I read a recent HBR study that suggest 25% of the insights generated were not valid. Either way, it’s getting better everyday.
