Hospital Reporting 2.0 built on the earlier Hospital Reporting release and added functionality for Hospital Value Based Purchasing (HVBP) and HITECH EHR Submission (QRDA).

The purpose of HVBP Performance Scoring is to reward hospitals based on actual quality performance on measures, rather than simply reporting data for those measures, as an important step toward revamping how care and services are paid for, moving increasingly toward rewarding better value, outcomes, and innovations instead of merely volume.

Hospital Reporting 2.0 also addressed the program requirements for Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Electronic Health Record (EHR) Submission 2012 Reporting Pilot Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) Processing and Data Storage, herein referred to as the HITECH QRDA Pilot.

The HITECH QRDA Pilot accepted EHR QRDA file inputs for the data submission period October 1st and November 30th for the previous fiscal year
