You're facing resistance from employees on new communication protocols. How can you get them on board?
Resistance to change is personal and complex. Start by identifying the real issue—whether it’s confusion over new protocols, unclear reasons for the change, or lack of necessary skills. Use team meetings or one-on-ones to pinpoint the root cause; otherwise, you risk solving the wrong problem. Once you understand the resistance, clearly explain why the changes matter to the business. Employees are more open to change when it’s well-communicated. Finally, ask your team to treat this as a 60-90 day opportunity to identify strengths and areas for improvement. They may not have shaped the initial decision, but they can influence how the protocols evolve.
