I am concerned about the timing of the release of this audit? A couple of weeks after voters decided to tax citizens of LA for another nearly billion dollars to be mismanaged and based on the failed philosophy of housing first harm reduction(free flow of drugs) model Only with no emphasis on recovery and a return to productivity? It is time to quit fixing the blame on different entities and fix the problem. More funds alone will not solve this. MO Voters - ABSENTEE VOTING Prior to the second Tuesday before an election, or at any time when requesting an absentee ballot to return by mail, absentee voters must provide one of the following reasons for voting absentee: Absence on Election Day from the jurisdiction of the election authority in which such voter is registered to vote; Incapacity or confinement due to illness or physical disability on election day, including a person who is primarily responsible for the physical care of a person who is incapacitated or confined due to illness or disability and resides at the same address; Religious belief or practice; Employment as an election authority or by an election authority at a location other than such voter’s polling place, a first responder, a health care worker, or a member of law enforcement; Incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained. A recent study reveals that Native Americans were less likely to be contacted by a candidate, party, or civic organization than other communities of color. This lack of outreach highlights the systemic barriers that Indigenous communities face in political engagement and representation. It’s been proven, as seen in the voter turnout in Arizona, that the Native vote is a powerful demographic that is often overlooked. Our voice matters, and so does our vote. Native Americans have the potential to sway election results in key states and make a significant impact on the political landscape. It is essential for party affiliation organizations to recognize the influence of the Native vote and to actively engage with Indigenous communities to ensure their needs and priorities are addressed. By including Indigenous delegates in decision-making processes, parties can demonstrate their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and harness the power of the Native vote for positive change.
