Snowflake launched two new features today to help customers use their platform safely. 1) allowing Admins to Enforce Mandatory MFA and 2) the GA launch of Snowflake Trust Center to give a place for admins to monitor the adherence to MFA policies. Mandatory MFA is critical for any SaaS app to be used safely. Password harvesting/reuse/stuffing provides a direct vector to the data that you store in a SaaS app. Glad to see it's coming to Snowflake Their trust center gives admins the flexibility to start their MFA enrollment process with a warning step, or jump right to enforcing MFA for all users. Thank you for releasing this feature for free with all versions. Safety isn't a place for an upsell. What an amazing few days at #SnowflakeSummit2024. A huge thank you to all our UK customers and partners that travelled to San Francisco for the week with Snowflake. Also a massive thank you to our amazing Marketing team for putting on yet another tremendous event. It was amazing to see the new announcements and how Snowflake's architecture is revolutionising AI applications; Iceberg tables are now in GA, Polaris Catalog is now available to support open storage architectures and we are adding an Internal Marketplace along with more AI governance to Snowflake Horizon. These were just a few of the many announcements. One of THE most exciting events at the #DataCloudSummit was Snowflake's 5-Minute Demo Dare where 3 finalists had 5 minutes to build LIVE in front of an audience of several hundred and a panel of judges. Coalesce.io's own Josh Hall showed (IN JUST 5 MINUTES) how anyone can easily operationalize Snowflake Cortex LLM Functions with Coalesce. Here's what he did: * Translate transcripts to English * Unify translated data sets * Apply Cortex LLM functions * Extract the customer name * Create the sentiment score * Summarize the transcript * Derive JSON mappings I hope next year event is featured in the middle of Summit as it was incredible watching the folks from Airbyte, phData, and Josh work their magic, troubleshoot LIVE any random issues thrown at them by the demo gods, and race against the clock to deliver a compelling demo and tangible end product/result. We've added SFTP support to the current production version of CrossCopy Enterprise. Why? Three great reasons: 1. It allows you to send the data wherever you need it. If you need it to go directly to your data center so that you can process it immediately from there, now you can. 2. It allows us to support clients that are not in the Azure or AWS environments. You can now easily set up an SFTP target on Google Cloud Platform or any other cloud provider. 3. It gives you more precise control over the data transmission path.
