    - Implemented capability for the SABR Radar to process previously recorded RF signals from flights, enabling engineers to reproduce radar behavior from past flights
    - Instrumental for implementing new radar algorithms, improving existing ones, and resolving issues related to radar performance seen on local flights and in the field
    - Solved SABR’s lack of multiprocessor debugging on the physical radar hardware; previously was only possible to emulate behavior from a single radar processor…

Tim Mai joined the SABR program as a Pathways Engineer in June 2019. He is currently in his third rotation with SABR, developing USAF Phase 3.2 mode software. Tim’s first rotation was USAF Phase 3.1 Mission Computer Interface working closely with Hill AFB engineers. Tim’s second rotation was spent supporting our SAP/SAR technology. In addition to his daily software development work, Tim attends and presents at customer interface VTCs and even was a key presenter at our recent CDR in his current SABR role. Tim’s profesional, calm and clear presentation skills are beyond his experience level. Presenting to our customer as a Pathways Engineer is a noteworthy achievement. His presentation involved a large, complex task which has been traditionally very difficult to communicate in a presentation form. Our customer was riveted to each slide Tim presented as he graphically represente dour design in an easy to follow format and flow. he of our key customers, Andrew Sieler (Hill AFB F-16 AESA Lead System Engineer) commented “Tim, I wish I had your slides two years ago. I finally understand this technology now”. Tim is a talented engineer who will go far in his career here at Northrop Grumman.
