Seeking advice on connecting large cables to components without lug accommodations I'm working with a 70mm² cable (or larger) and need to connect it to a VSD that does not have lug terminals. What are some recommended solutions or best practices for making a safe and reliable connection in this scenario? If so: please send me the link of where you find those people. 🤓 There's nothing wrong with schematics on paper, but let me clarify why it has some downsides, you have to: 1️⃣ turn around pages, search for source and target 2️⃣ have technical knowledge so you can recognize the symbols 3️⃣ highlight with a marker what's been done 4️⃣ have multiple 100m card boxes of wire within reach 5️⃣ cut the wire 6️⃣ strip the wire 7️⃣ crimp the end termination 8️⃣ route & connect the wire You don't have to be an expert to see that this a long process☹️, with the requirement that a technical skilled person has to do this👨🏼‍🔧 There's a solution for that: 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 🚀 It saves lot's of time ⏱️ 𝙒𝙝𝙮? 1️⃣ you read source/target from the wire 2️⃣ you route & connect the wire ✅ that's it! 𝙃𝙤𝙬? You use wire-as-a-service from a company like DRAAD 🚀 or you use machines like #Komax #Steinhauer or #Rittal has 👀 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪? Well, lets make a quick calculation, based on 100.000 wires/yr 🙌🏼 All traditional you'll achieve a speed of about 20 wires/hr, this results in 5000hr of wiring/yr ⏱️ (with wire labels it's even less, 10...15 wires/hr) With custom wire harnesses you'll achieve a speed of 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 50 wires/hr (even up to 120, but let's ignore that)🏎️🚀 This means we only spend 2500hr/yr for the same amount of wires. At an hour rate of €50 that's €125.000 of value. Not bad! 😉 It gets even better: you don't need a skilled craftsperson in this production process 😎 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝? I see you're thinking about excuses: all fun and games, but: 1️⃣ we don't do series production 2️⃣ we always produce unique cabinets 3️⃣ our people like this type of work 4️⃣ you're just trying to sell your product 5️⃣ ... These are all excuses to avoid the future, there's no real catch imo, but there are some requirements 🤔👇🏼 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩? 1️⃣ You need a 3D model, you can use tools like Eplan #ProPanel or others 2️⃣ Some time ⏱️ and money 💶 (which you'll save anyway) 3️⃣ Courage, courage to do it different than the others 💪🏼 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙙?
