I am in sync with Tara Lodh, Customer Engineer, Google Cloud when he says he is excited about the voice perspective when it comes to GenAI Voice, as per his vision, will be used in: • code generation • workflow generation • even in the way we use search • day-to-day activities His data strategies are also very well-thought-out: • 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Data is all around flowing all around systems, departments and processes. Therefore, high chance of duplication is there. So, number one strategy should be to break this replication as it can lead to errors and inefficiencies.   And consolidate data as it leads to unification to a centralized platform as it'll ensure that all teams can have access to consistent info. • 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮: There should be policies and standards to manage data securely and ethically. Compliance ensures protecting sensitive information and maintaining accountability for data usage. • 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Scalability depends on having solid foundation of quality, consolidation, and governance around data. This McKinsey article https://lnkd.in/g54TwDzw really resonated with me, as it does a great job describing some of the top use cases that leading telcos are exploring—and some are already starting to deploy. I particularly think leveraging GenAI capabilities for enhancing network operations with better inventory mapping, enabling self-healing via customer sentiment analysis on network problems, and drastically reducing technicians' time to assess, recommend remedies, and automatically initiate work orders are powerful use cases that can create an immediate impact on a telco's opex. The article is also spot on with some other observations: 1. Network operations is a huge area where GenAI can make an impact, but it has to be done in combination with traditional AI solutions. 2. LLMOps is absolutely necessary for model management to ensure the quality and accuracy of model outputs, especially with the pace at which models adapt and change. 3. The idea of a dedicated GenAI innovation lab is important. With new GenAI research and advancements happening so rapidly, organizations could benefit from a dedicated system to build and test solutions, keeping them ahead of the competition. 4. Because GenAI democratizes access to powerful capabilities, it lowers barriers for smaller operators and organizations to become competitive. My favorite of these quotes is this one… Data and customer value drive AI partnerships AI is a game-changer, but not a magic bullet. Successful cloud #partnerships will be built on data, customer value, and integrations. "Right now, #data is the best value add you can provide... if you, a legacy company, have a large customer base and can provide certain kinds of data that is not available to any of these companies and you can #monetize that, that is kind of the Holy Grail," Neeti Gupta highlighted. Seems like the key reason #Salesforce and #Workday partnered recently.

In search of higher quality revenue, more AI startups will need to serve non-tech enterprises - Anshul Ramachandran of Codeium calls for AI startups to become 'enterprise infrastructure native'. Of the many product design choices this entails, being able to serve your product on-prem or in single-tenant clouds corresponds to a longer-term tailwind of repatriation of cloud workloads. Sarah Wang wrote about 'the cost of cloud' a few years ago, with savings from repatriating of roughly one-third when you reach a certain scale. As buyers learn that a large proportion of promised AI productivity is premised on access to company data, this will be another tailwind for AI workloads to be hybrid or on-prem (as surveys from Barclays and Morgan Stanley show). Tomasz Tunguz wrote about the hub and spoke Cloud Prem model in 2020.
