How can you get promoted in Product Management through community involvement?
Couple of things I've found useful having seen TPF grow to over 150k+ members - - Act as a connector among community members to build goodwill and trust. - Make friends - Celebrate both personal and community achievements. - Instead of always discussing product management, discuss other passions as well. - Support each other - Be an early adopter of the products other members are building. Cheer for them, help each other grow - Allocate dedicated time slots for community involvement; don't just fit it in "when you have time." - That said, scale your involvement according to your capability; it's a marathon, not a sprint. Easy hack: Offer to pay for tools or platforms that could be used collectively by the community. Thank me later ;)

If you're looking to contribute, spend some time figuring out what your edge is - Moving on from content, everyone is looking for mentors - offer help! - Internal Workshops / Cross-Departmental Initiatives (if you're looking at stuff internally) - Side Projects / Consultancy (if you're looking to make a buck while at it)
