We are nearing the end of 2024 and I am sure almost everyone in the California insurance industry can agree this has been one of the toughest years ever for them, the insurance carriers, and insurance consumers.  As we move into 2025, I am hopeful for the California property and casualty insurance market to finally turn around. I believe that the California Insurance Commissioner’s Office is really trying to fix this emergency and help large insurance carriers return to offering insurance and offering some normality in this market compared to the nightmare we have seen this past year. Shout out to all the insurance professionals who were laid off by insurance carriers and continued forward to their new position without missing a beat. Shout out to all the insurance agents/brokers who have worked endless hours to ensure their clients had coverage after having their insurance cancelled. Shout out to the insurance underwriters who pushed that extra mile to find solutions for customers affected by cancellations. Shout out to the insurance carriers who tried to or did remain offering insurance in California when most other insurance carriers just abandoned the state. (my personal favorites regarding the property insurance market, in no special order, are State Farm, Berkshire Hathaway, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, The Hartford, CNA Insurance, Travelers, and Zurich Insurance). And shout out to the insurance customers who were blind sided by their insurance being cancelled with little to no warning and trusting their insurance agent to find new coverage. We are all living in a time that will go down in history as the toughest year ever.  I hope as we continue to navigate this insurance market, we have seen the worst and brighter days are coming. Until then, we push on because we are now reaching a point where nothing is a surprise anymore and creative solutions are the new normal. #Insurance
