The sale of IBM's Qradar is a one-sided win. Not for IBM... but for the Palo Alto network. Palo Alto is about 15 years old with $8B in revenue, growing at roughly 20% YoY. IBM is a 100+ year-old company with $66B in revenue, growing at 2% YoY. Their security revenues have rather fallen recently. For IBM, this is a play of operational efficiency, defining its priorities, and focus. But, for Palo Alto, this is another rocketship deal. It gives them: 💡 Access to a Gartner-leading SIEM solution. 💡 Access to a massive customer base 💡 1000s of IBM sales reps who will now sell Palo Alto solutions.
