What do you really want your board to know, but are afraid to tell them? According to a study by Board Source, one in five chief executives of nonprofits report that their boards have an "extremely" or "moderately" negative impact on their personal job satisfaction. This can and must change to sustain the well-being of leaders and sustainability of their organizations. We are developing content for new board education programming and would appreciate the transparent feedback of CEOs and Executive Directors to ensure that the sessions are relevant. Our goal is to address these issues in a way that is positive and supportive, but also gets to the heart of the challenges that nonprofit leaders are experiencing with board engagement. We'd love for you to complete our one-question survey at the link (it's completely anonymous). https://conta.cc/4dEEk6l #nonprofits #alliesforgood #mindfulleadership #boardengagement

Coaching is a powerful way to help your leaders grow and your organizations to thrive through leadership development. Coaching is frequently reserved for leaders. However, organizations that extend coaching services to individual contributors also witness profound impacts. In addition, to similar engagement and commitment results, you see : 🔹 less turnover 🔹 improved productivity and goal achievement Sales coaching is a great example of this. "Rep productivity can be increased by 25% within 18 months" McKinsey and Company What could your team or organization achieve with added coaching support? Please comment on what coaching has done for you or your team in the comments below. If you'd like to know more about how you or your team can benefit from coaching, email me [email protected]. #salescoaching #leadership #salesmanagement

Positive Intelligence (PQ) is one of my favorite coaching tools! When I asked Brenda if she faces impostor syndrome, her answer so resonated with the tool, "Yes, impostor syndrome exists, but not for too long. I explore how I can transition out of it." #PositiveIntelligence #ImpostorSyndrome #PersonalGrowth #CoachingTools #MentalFitness #leadership

✅Rebranding and Renaming DEIB Efforts is a growing trend… ✅Organizations are rethinking and renaming their DEIB initiatives to better reflect their unique cultures and strategic goals. Moving away from traditional terms like "diversity training," they are adopting more specific terms such as "Inclusive Leadership Development" or "Equity Advancement Programs." ✅This rebranding emphasizes that DEIB is core to the business strategy, not just a peripheral initiative… ✅For example, Walmart Inc., whose U.S. CEO, John Furner, appeared recently on CBS This Morning to address changes to their DEI policy, which includes elimination of the term “Latinx” and replacing the acronym “DEI” with the term “belonging.” He said, “What we’re trying to do is to ensure every customer, every associate feels welcomed here to shop. And to feel like they belong.” ✅Learn more from this Forbes article, Change is Here: 5 Hard Truths & A Blueprint For Your DEI Plan In 2025. https://lnkd.in/eRdw5FGS #rebranding #diversityequityandinclusion #2025 #businessstrategy #belonging Inclusiveleadersgroup.com

In an MIT Sloan Management Review post Laurianne McLaughlin speaks to the significance of #emotionalintelligence #selfawareness and #intellectualhumility when leading teams. For anyone in a #leadership position, you likely appreciate McLaughlin's advice on the skills to hone (you can find the link in the comments). Once you identify skilly you want to work on, then comes the challenge of finding ways to work towards them. When I have had the privilege to speak to leaders about the potential #generativeAI has to transform the student experience of doing the kind of deep critical reflection that boosts those skills, often they will say a version of 'wait, this can help me too.' The free guide here explores a series of six mega prompts I've generated to simulate an exchange that does two things simultaneously: a) gets you curious about prompt engineering as a current (I think this will change) tool for problem solving b) provokes critical thinking about what it means to engage a bot in a dialogue that simulates empathy While prompt engineering may not be a component of AI Literacy for long, what I do believe will have a profound and lasting influence is the way we are all shifting towards a new dynamic with technology that is intentionally designed to simulate...us. Does the thought of forming a bond with technology strike you as far fetched? I'd encourage you to check out the work of Beki Grinter who has studied and written about how emotionally compelling a Roomba can be (I'll link to this too below). If you try out any of the six prompt ideas, I'd love to hear more about your experience.

There's no copy-and-paste formula on how to facilitate hard conversations. But there are tactics that yield more fruitful discussions when political topics arise in the workplace. I'm excited to be facilitating Boon's next webinar with a few outstanding people and voices in HR to hear their recommendations based on years of designing and advising upon DEI programs and solutions. Alex Seiler, Chief People Officer and Start Up Advisor Tracie Sponenberg, Advisor and Fractional CPO Morgan Williams, Co-founder and CEO, PeakHR A few key components we'll be discussing as a panel: - Balance free expression with workplace harmony - Address sensitive political issues at work - Create inclusive policies that reflect diverse views - Leverage political diversity as a strength Register in the link below - this is one you don't want to miss!
