🤯 “Ramping up SDRs, AEs and CS people  takes us no less than 6 months.” 💣 🙈 This is what I heard on a recent demo from  a CRO of a rapidly scaling tech business. 📈 Time to efficiency is a struggle Heads of Sales Enablement and Customer Success are going through across their commercially-driven teams… 📖 At the moment, they expect internal  sales and CS decks, call recordings,  business pitches, etc. should do the job. 🙄 But it doesn’t! 🗓️ They're wasting too much time for people to start performing, closing deals, effectively onboarding customers, reducing churn & upselling… ❌ Sometimes, they still don’t perform... SDRs can be taught to be Managers SDRs can be taught to be Marketeers SDRs can be taught to do almost any role Fact: It's better to hire someone who is 60% ready with the right behaviours. This is AWESOME!!!!! Hey Janko! Check out our GSD / ROI. Feel free to share this. With your help, we have literally changed our entire business over the last three years! 3 AE’s and 1 Sales Director total comp paid - salary plus commissions over the last 3 years = $2.2M. Total sales in that same 3 year period = $15.6M ARR. You suggested that we set quotas at about 5.5x of OTE and we are actually much higher than that! We are at 7.1x sales to comp! What is even better is that our average contract length is 3 years and we pay commissions up front. So the ROI is really much higher than that. In our previous 6 years we did a total of just under $6M total. We are now cash flow positive and have not taken on any outside funding. It’s time to expand. SDRs - you're going to struggle with this. Not getting instant results, and trusting in the process. You're going to struggle because some of yours new hire peers will have instant success. You're going to struggle, because quota's will always feel like "a lot" You're going to struggle with this because there are infinite talking heads talking about how their form, template, or question instantly booked 30 zillion and half meetings. Trust in the process. Be consistent in keeping the right schedule and doing the right activities, in the correct structure. You will see the results you are looking for. It may all come at once, in a big ol wave. Be ready, be excited, and let it ride! Lastly, be honest with yourself in you aren't following the process. Only you can truly hold yourself accountable. Surfs up SDRs, Waves look pretty good today :)

I get asked a lot on LinkedIn like “what do I need to do to get to enterprise sales at Salesforce?” Here are some of my tips to elevate your sales game and secure your spot at Salesforce with these no-nonsense tips: 1. Network Like a Pro: Tap into your connections and expand your network within the enterprise market. Hustle hard, make meaningful connections, and leverage them to open doors. 2. Showcase Your Accolades: Don’t hold back on your resume – Let your track record speak for itself and demonstrate why you’re the top choice for the role. 3. Data-Driven Results: Back up your claims with hard numbers. Be clear and concise about your past successes, using metrics to illustrate your impact and effectiveness in driving sales. 4. Hustle Smart: In the competitive landscape of Enterprise sales, hustle isn’t enough – you need to hustle smart. Focus on high-value activities, prioritize your efforts, and maximize your impact. Want your AEs to self-source more pipe? Stop providing little to no: ⛔️ Training & enablement Outbounding and selling are two different skills. 80%+ of reps are not good at both. Don't expect AEs to pick up the phone without a great talk track. Don't expect responses to their emails without solid email coaching. AEs need a playbook and consistent reinforcement. Action: Build a quick & dirty playbook for AEs. And provide weekly or bi-weekly training on the latest best practices. ⛔️ Accountability Outbound is hard. Let's be honest, it kinda sucks. But just like exercising, it's necessary. And most people won't do it (including me) without accountability. Action: Structure weekly 1-hour blocks for AEs to focus on pipeline generation. Then recruit a team lead or rep with leadership qualities to help hold the team accountable to their daily 1-hour block. Report on the results daily. ⛔️ Sales Math Don't create arbitrary activity targets. Help every rep dial in the exact outbound activity required to hit their sales target. Action: Work the math backwards from revenue/deals closed down to the number of outbound activities to set the meetings required to close enough deals. ⛔️ Coaching & feedback Most managers do pipeline and deal reviews. They take up the majority of 1on1s and team calls. Don't forget to add pipeline generation into the mix. Provide guidance to reps on accounts they can target, ways to approach, and feedback on their messaging. Action: Carve out 10-15 min. of your weekly 1on1 to focus solely on PG. ~~~ You can't expect the majority of your AEs to self-generate pipe if you don't create a system for them to succeed. Sales folks especially SDRs and AEs I will tell you a hack about how to achieve more in less time ↓ "Start blocking your calendar thoughtfully and strategically every single day" Working out of whims & fancies and adhocism will not get you the desired result you aspire to achieve. You need to have a plan for your day even before starting the day. Every time you block your calendar make sure you block it for a single activity and you define what output you want to achieve out of this activity. Have a time block for at least Prospecting, Identifying new accounts, and Follow-ups on a daily basis, the rest you can block based on your roles and KRAs. Remember: "You cannot control time but you can surely control how you want to spend the time"

"🎣 SDRs: Are You Gathering Data for Your AE or Solving Pain for Your Prospect?" There are two mentalities when running a qualification call: 🌊The 'Inch Deep, Mile Wide' strategy covers multiple areas with different questions, gathering surface-level information that gives the AE plenty of threads to pull on. 🎯The 'Inch Wide, Mile Deep' approach focuses on one key area, uncovering a core pain point. It provides less total information, but it exposes the nerve that drives urgency for the prospect. While SDRs think AEs might value having more angles to explore, it's the prospect who will be more excited for the next call if you've shown them the real pain. 🔥 🌟Ask follow up questions🌟 So, are you casting a wide net 🐟 or setting the hook? 🎣 Which strategy are you using?? #sdr #bdr
