Experiential learning for leaders enables them to better understand how their behavior and expectations impact those who work for them. 2. Future generations (think Gen Z) look at work much differently and will have a HUGE impact on L & D. 3. Gamification isn't working, but simulations are! 4. Are you a leader committed to social progress? If so, it’s a requirement to take the time and space to consciously evolve your own humanity.    Carmen Rojas, PhD (she/her) - president and CEO of Marguerite Casey Foundation - has done this work and then some. Here are 3 takeaways from our recent conversation on The R.A.C.E. Podcast.    ✔️ We often say at Keecha Harris and Associates, Inc. that philanthropy must mean the love of ALL humanity. Carmen explained another aligned way to look at this: every philanthropic institution should become “a life affirming institution” that's guided by a politics of repair.    That means actively centering racial justice in every institutional decision.    ✔️ I also resonated with Carmen's call to action to design a multi-racial democracy that white people can see themselves in - one that's rooted in solidarity. This is a timely conversation in the wake of the current movement to eliminate affirmative action.    Equity isn’t about taking anything away from anyone, it’s about opening opportunities for all - and our sector must clearly communicate that definition as a unified front.    ✔️ Carmen shared deeply and generously from her lived experiences: from her father’s journey to becoming a Teamster to finding belonging in community as the daughter of immigrants.
