PSA for all US based video editors: Companies like Landed is the biggest threat to our existence. Look at the copy. "Hire Video Editors and save up to 51% compared to US-based equivalents." I'm sorry - who are the "US-based equivalents??" Yeah - that's me and you. If you're wondering why it's so hard to get an editing gig - this is why. THIS. IS. OUR. COMPETITION. Why would an company hire US-based editors and pay a 51% higher rate when that same company can go on Landed and find off-shore help? Don't get mad though. This is capitalism. This is innovation. This is how the game goes. And, it's happening in every industry. Game recognizes game. At some point in the future, your editing gig will get outsourced to a company like Landed. If you do nothing in light of this - congratulations. You played yourself. Think Differently.

Quit Being Stupid. I reported the video below to Youtube because I refuse to have my area of expertise, video forensics, misrepresented by idiot amateurs. I wrote the following in my report to Youtube. I am a video forensics expert, I also support Trump, but this is BLATANT misinformation. Biden missed the lower step he was supposed to step on, went above the step he was supposed to step on, his foot landing on the lip of the interior car. This additional distance his foot traveled, COMPLETELY increased the force needed to lift the rest of his body by an exponential amount. I can't stand this level of video forensic incompetence, it drives me nuts, please ask them to take this out. end of report. I am also very concerned at the amount of video scraping going on. How much of a narcissist do you have to be use an excerpt of any video, and not credit the source? One-Click Wonder: My Experience with Google's AI Podcast Creator I tried Google's new one-click AI podcast creator for my story on podwires.com and now I don't know anymore what is real and what isn't! I was a bit puzzled about Google NotebookLM. NotebookLM is insane! It takes an article, blog post, or web page and, at the click of one button, produces an audio file of a conversation between two people about it. It sounds so natural and realistic that you would think that you are listening to two real people talking. They speak about the subject with such passion and authority that you can tell they're genuinely into it. They banter back and forth with each other in such a natural way that's just, like, the cutest thing-just your breath away! It's so nice how even the little sniffs, slight mispronunciation, slurs, and little giggles are included to make it sound completely human. The cool thing is that the making of the audio was very simple! Within a few minutes, it generated a .WAV file which I could download onto my desktop. The audio clip was about eight minutes long. Upon hearing this, I was like, "The world has changed somehow. I don't know anymore what is real and what is not.". What happened was that the AI took Podpoll 2024 PDF from Deadset Studio who conducted the survey and described the main concepts of it so interactively-the 'presenters' discussing between them. It was interesting! It expanded on the topic in new and creative ways I hadn't thought of. It made analogies from other areas of life that were really thought-provoking. What I was talking about had practical examples introduced by the presenters, and not just from my article; they had wider knowledge on the subject, which to me was impressive. And most importantly, it got none of it wrong! I'd love to hear your thoughts #podcastAI #podcast
