Here's how you can effectively lead a remote team in Enterprise Software.
One thing I think is missing from this is a must have. A remote sales force needs training and role playing to ensure these remote reps are equipped properly to ask business focused questions. 1. Understanding their customer’s problems 2. What Alternatives they have to solving them 3. Can they eloquently help their customers understand the benefits and business impact their solution can have. Being remote, you need to be really effective on calls and managers need to ensure their reps are not just talking but actively listening. Without ride alongs to train them, you have to ensure they are capable of these conversations. This will create larger deals and reduce “do nothings” and sales cycles.

You're seeking a job in CRM. What key qualities do employers seek in entry-level candidates?
Agree. I believe the key is to be able to pull relevant data to the business to impact growth and help understand the gaps that need to be filled. Data is irrelevant unless it applies to the top 3 goals of the organization. I would look for analytical capability but also examples of innovation to create differentiation from the data.

What do you do if your enterprise software is experiencing critical performance issues?
First step is understanding where the problem lies whether it is on the client, network or server side by utilizing the tools in your organization whether it is logs, dashboards or activity monitoring. Once identified where the slowness is then focus on resolving the issue(s) working with the team that manages that part of the business. For example, the network team will have a lot of information and be able to isolate the area where the slowness or complaints are coming from and further diagnose the issue with their toolset. Hopefully utilizing a team approach will lead to a faster resolution.
