What are the best ways to measure trust-building outcomes in facilitation?
One of my favorite activities with teams is to do an activity using my Team Member Fact Sheet. It is just a a set of 30-40 questions that a person answers, when shared with another, creates a fun 'get to know each other activity'. Spend a half hour at your next meeting doing a short activity with it, and then make the assignment to pair up and have a couple of conversations where two individuals sit down over coffee and share it. Repeat this until everyone on the team has had a chance to meet each of their peers - including you!

Truth at the Heart: How honesty, trust, and teamwork can transform your business
JH Publishing
Ken Blanchard said, "Leadership is working with people to accomplish their goals and the goals of the organization." It takes a team to grow a successful business and a great culture to sustain that growth. This book is about the journey to make that happen in your organization. I call it the Honest Culture Journey, and my goals are to help you answer these three questions:

It takes a team to grow a successful business and a great culture to sustain that growth. This book is about the journey to make that happen in your organization. I call it the Honest Culture Journey, and my goals are to help you answer these three questions:
What are the key actions to building a high performing business and culture?
What are the most common barriers to true teamwork, trust, and performance?
How do you start shifting your own leadership style so the team around you leads more and you get more time to focus on the things that you love, both inside and outside of work?
This book is for leaders who want to build a team that performs at a high level, and develop a culture that will be the glue for continued success. In it, you will discover how to build an Honest Culture through relationships, and how this culture based on honesty, trust, and teamwork will transform your business – and the people in it.
In writing this book, I invited a diverse group of six highly successful leaders to share their insights that will help you be successful on your own Honest Culture Journey. The level of transparency, vulnerability, and honesty shared with me during interviews for this book was more than I could ever ask for, and I am excited to share their real-world experience with you. -

Strategic planning has been written about extensively by a range of global thought-leaders and business strategists. With all these experts weighing in on the topic, it can be difficult for leaders of organizations to know how to implement within their business. It is often translated into a variety of disparate activities: from simply defining values for the company to going on a multi-day leadership retreat.
Scott has spent thousands of hours in these strategic planning conversations with leaders. Too often he sees leaders pursue a solution because someone they trust told them it would help - and it doesn't. The main reason this happens is because the leader did not sit back and think about WHY they need to do something different in their business.
The goal of this workbook is to help leaders name the WHY and then map out HOW they will start and WHAT specifically they will do to sustain their work until it becomes a habit. Scott will guide you through the important questions you need to ask and conversations you need to have, providing space for you to make your action plan with each step. -

People-Centered Performance: Bringing out our best through honest conversation - 2nd Edition
Black Lake Press
For years, I have been giving leaders practical steps to turn leadership principles into measurably improved performance by their teams. But these trUTips only lead to bigger questions: Why is it so hard for some leaders to follow through on easy-to-understand principles? While these principles are building collaboration, what might simultaneously be eroding it? And what sort of cultivatable habits create a climate for collaboration and performance? For years, I have been giving leaders practical steps to turn leadership principles into measurably improved performance by their teams. But these trUTips only lead to bigger questions: Why is it so hard for some leaders to follow through on easy-to-understand principles? While these principles are building collaboration, what might simultaneously be eroding it? And what sort of cultivatable habits create a climate for collaboration and performance? This book is designed to be readable in a couple of sittings (it is short!) and to help you get to actions that will make you a more effective leader tomorrow.
