Many people MISTAKENLY thought that DataOps.live didn't use and leverage all of the Snowflake products and tools to deliver #DataProducts or #NativeApps on Snowflake. That is wrong! Snowflake launched two new features today to help customers use their platform safely. 1) allowing Admins to Enforce Mandatory MFA and 2) the GA launch of Snowflake Trust Center to give a place for admins to monitor the adherence to MFA policies. Mandatory MFA is critical for any SaaS app to be used safely. Password harvesting/reuse/stuffing provides a direct vector to the data that you store in a SaaS app. Glad to see it's coming to Snowflake Their trust center gives admins the flexibility to start their MFA enrollment process with a warning step, or jump right to enforcing MFA for all users. Thank you for releasing this feature for free with all versions. Safety isn't a place for an upsell. One of THE most exciting events at the #DataCloudSummit was Snowflake's 5-Minute Demo Dare where 3 finalists had 5 minutes to build LIVE in front of an audience of several hundred and a panel of judges. Coalesce.io's own Josh Hall showed (IN JUST 5 MINUTES) how anyone can easily operationalize Snowflake Cortex LLM Functions with Coalesce. Here's what he did: * Translate transcripts to English * Unify translated data sets * Apply Cortex LLM functions * Extract the customer name * Create the sentiment score * Summarize the transcript * Derive JSON mappings I hope next year event is featured in the middle of Summit as it was incredible watching the folks from Airbyte, phData, and Josh work their magic, troubleshoot LIVE any random issues thrown at them by the demo gods, and race against the clock to deliver a compelling demo and tangible end product/result. So excited about this partnership! Meta to release the Llama 3.1 series of models on Databricks – available to customers today. These models expand context length to 128K, add multilingual capabilities, and include Llama 3.1 405B — the largest and highest-quality openly available foundation model.    With this release, customers can serve and fine-tune the Llama 3.1 models, connect them to our RAG and agentic systems, easily generate synthetic data to better customize their models, and leverage them for scalable evaluation.    Databricks has integrated Llama 3.1 throughout our Data Intelligence Platform.
