“Sarah was an early project44 employee that grew with the company. She was instrumental helping build the initial truckload API integrations and carrier network. She was the go-to person for API integration troubleshooting and setup. I had the pleasure to work with her and manage her.”

“I had the great opportunity to be Sarah’s sales manager at Coyote Logistics from August – December 2016. During that time, Sarah quickly established herself as leader on our team by her ability to prospect new clients, drive business growth, and execute company objectives. Sarah took it upon herself to volunteer for additional projects beyond what was asked including relocating and learning last minute assignments. At every phase, Sarah‘s sense of ownership delivered results even when company objectives were complex and required a great deal of personal investment. Sarah would be a great addition to any team seeking a highly motivated, talented and engaged person. -Mike Atkinson”

We often forget that integrations are just as important in our day to day as the products we use. Having one system to manage your data and workflows creates efficiencies and a unified system of record for reporting and to monitor performance. Take a look at the blog I wrote for DAT discussing the importance of integrations in the Freight and Logistics industry. https://lnkd.in/gtgC7-kA

Is there a #SupplyChain practice or belief you'd say is outdated? ☠️ Our VP of Product, Lindsey Bonfiglio, believes “the notion that supply chain visibility is simply about tracking” is one of them. Learn more about her perspective on how we should redefine visibility to focus on #HighVelocity in the newest issue of Inbound Logistics. 👇

Important trends in TMS satisfaction or more lack of satisfaction with their TMS investments are highlighted by this survey from friend and fellow logistics & supply chain industry watcher Adrian Gonzalez of Talking Logistics and Indago. ONLY 8% are Very Satisfied with their TMS investment! This problem is screaming out for a solution to better connect and resolve! Cheers! How Satisfied Are Companies With Their TMS? ~ Adrian Gonzalez The global transportation management systems (TMS) market size is estimated to be around $16-17 billion. But how satisfied are companies with their investments in Transportation Management Systems (TMS)? How do they measure/quantify satisfaction? As logistics software providers promote their Generative AI and Machine Learning capabilities, how satisfied are companies with the progress vendors are making in these areas? We asked members of our Indago supply chain research community — who are all supply chain and logistics executives from manufacturing, retail, and distribution companies — as well as select members of JBF Consulting’s customer community, those questions in a recent survey. Almost three quarters of the survey respondents (71%) are using a TMS, either deployed internally (50%) or provided by their 3PL (21%). Of the respondents using a TMS, half (50%) are either “Satisfied” (42%) or “Very Satisfied” (8%) with their solution. However, 29% said they were either “Dissatisfied” (25%) or “Very Dissatisfied” (4%) with their TMS. #Lunchbag #Letdown #TMS #Issues #Challenges #Survey #results #transportation #management #surveys https://lnkd.in/g46FNXyV

I've said this before. But I get to see it every day and compare -> The #logistics and #supplychain sales reps are some of the most talented people I've ever worked with. 1. Complex sales process (especially around pricing) 2. They often sell an OMS/WMS, which essentially is selling a SAAS product 3. They have to have a handle on most things integration (EDI/API/ERPs) 4. Longer sales cycles 5. Fighting against the shipping/commodity economics 6. Multiple decision-makers and personas in the buying process 7. A notorious industry that is not always on the up & up 8. A competitive landscape with players spending MILLIONS(plural)in advertising #salesinlogistics #3pl #supplychain #ecommerce #richhitsgoals

If your warehouse or third-party check-in process looks like this image, it's okay to embrace change! The lack of visibility a clipboard causes impacts so many internal stakeholders, carriers, drivers, and your end customers. With many companies heavily invested in TMS, WMS, ERP, planning, AGV's, AS/RS but when you do the Gemba walk, paper, clipboards, and manual processes seem to be everywhere. Get a cross-functional team together and have them walk your end-to-end process to identify low-effort quick-impact wins. Here are a few outcomes Vector customers have seen from moving off spreadsheets into a platform: Guard efficiency Faster check-ins = less dwell Trends and root causes can be identified from order change tracking Fraud prevention = Have your carriers and brokers pre-notify the approved driver ahead of pickup Carrier efficiency = automated scheduling #digitaltransformation #gatecheckin #teamwork

The container shipping market right now can at best be described as teetering at the top of a sharp pyramid. The ability to predict — even roughly — what freight rates will do over the next six months appears more difficult than ever. This is because the two most likely paths lead to extremely different outcomes.

Good stuff from Bill Gibson of Deposco. He gives great insights on how we got to this point and where he sees the industry going. All of these personal insights come from his incredible run in this space, so if you've ever wanted a clear view of what a leader in this space is thinking, it doesn't get more accesible than this. #supplychainleadership The Software Report RJ Lumba
