Interesting news that touches on a few key trends: 1) the cloud is going #multicloud. #Kubernetes and sophisticated #orchestration are enabling #AI workloads to be run in the right cloud at the right time/cost. It adds complexity but could really impact OPEX and competitive advantage (and mitigate single cloud vendor risk) 2) It’s interesting that Recogni is pivoting from edge to cloud. Yes, the #edgeAI space has no shortage of players, but the scale is massive and the deployments are much more “fit for purpose.” Pivoting to data center and building out racks of equipment is a big pivot for an edge company culturally and operationally (and an expensive bet) 3) I am also curious about focusing on inferencing INSIDE the #datacenter. The primary bottleneck/cost right now in the DC is training, and inferencing is migrating to the edge where the “real world” is. So, let’s see how this pans out but kudos to Recogni for making the pivot!
