  • Health+: Health algorithms for the wearable age

    -

Project Health+ revolutionized wearable health software by significantly improving noise resilience and reducing initial sensing time by over 500%. This advancement enables accurate measurement of multiple health parameters, overcoming challenges posed by motion and insufficient sensor contact. The technology has been successfully commercialized for integration into Samsung wearables and phones.

  • Project Beyond: 3D 360 Realtime Camera

    -

The world’s first true 3D omniview camera, commercialized as the Samsung Gear 3D 360 Pro. Project Beyond redefined the way we create experiences, in a form factor that is easy to carry and use. Sixteen cameras with advanced optics arranged in a patented interleaved pattern capture the world in true stereoscopic 3D, and advanced processing algorithms convert the 25+ Gbps of data into 4k stereo imagery in real time, allowing you to teleport anywhere, anytime.

Innovations include the aforementioned optical configuration, allowing for a compact design, along with internal and external software allowing for realtime photon-to-photon latency of less than 80ms. At a time when VR was seen as a gaming platform, we foreshadowed the use of VR for storytelling, work, and remote presence.

  • Samsung Wearables
