This is the top question asked by #candidates in the #accounting and #finance job market here in #SouthFlorida, so let me share a little bit about what I'm seeing when it comes to #fullyremote jobs. GOOD NEWS: If you want to #workremotely as an #accountant, there are plenty of opportunities to do so. BAD NEWS: I'm seeing little to no demand from local companies to hire local talent into remote jobs, as these companies are seeking a #hybrid if not fully #onsite work arrangement, which is a stark contrast to what we saw out coming out of COVID late 2020 through early 2022. SO WHERE ARE THE REMOTE JOBS? That's the beauty. They are anywhere and everywhere, with some specifying the need to live or work in certain time zones and others with no restrictions at all. If you want to work remotely, you need to be running a national search, specifically filtering for #remotejobs. BONUS POOL OF REMOTE JOBS: There continues to be a ton of remote work opportunities for candidates in #publicaccounting who want to make a switch from one #accountingfirm to another, as #CPAfirms had been embracing remote work in a pre-COVID world and have maintained that stance to win the fierce battle for talent today.
