    Ronald McDonald House Charities strives to be part of the solution to issues challenging families today. Families are challenged with how to stay near and support a hospitalized child, how to afford staying together in another city while a child is undergoing treatment, or even getting basic medical and dental care in vulnerable communities. RMHC uses its resources to help families gain access to health care services during critical points in their children’s lives. While undergoing renovation, the New York location needed volunteers to improve the appearance of the gardens and common areas, for which I was happy to lend a helping hand.
