In Q2 of this year in the UK the average Perm Consultant made 4 placements and the average Temp Consultant made 6 placements. (UK) When we looked at the consultants at the Top 5 agencies on Recruiter Insider for Candidate Experience, we discovered that: 🚀 the average Perm Consultant there made 5 placements 🚀 the average Temp Consultant made 10 placements. In Q2 alone, the agencies with the highest candidate experience scores made 1 extra Perm placement per consultant and an 4 extra temp placements per consultant. Highlighting as always the impact candidate experience has on your placement numbers. The data doesn’t lie, an improved candidate experience means more placements. Understanding the pay gap between inside and outside IR35 contracts is crucial for both contractors and clients. Here’s what you need to know: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆? • 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Contractors inside IR35 are taxed as employees, which means higher National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and PAYE taxes. A very clear, and very welcome signal, that the UK economy is recovering! Will this fundamentally alter much for people immediately, probably not. Why is it important then? It is a clear signal that the economic cycle is entering its growth phase. This is the start of a new period of both change and growth, with a whole new world of technology, particularly AI and data, coming at us hard. I often work with very early stage businesses to find their first few senior hires outside of the founding team – both those with investment and those bootstrapped. Cost of recruitment is obviously a key concern. We discuss different ways to plug gaps in skill set and grow the team – from fractional CTOs to NEDs with valuable experience and relevant networks.
