We all know that AI is changing the way we work at breakneck pace. Some say faster than any previous technology. So it's hard to get a sense of where your organization is and how quickly others might be moving. 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. Our team at ServiceNow spent the last year building this study out with our partners at Oxford Economics. We surveyed roughly 4500 global business leaders to get a snapshot of where we are with the state of AI in the enterprise. We gauged readiness on a new, proprietary scale and here are the three key takeaways: 𝟭. 𝗔𝗜-𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱. On a 100-point scale, the average score was 44. It's early innings folks. 𝟮. 𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸. Why? How? 𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Not as easy as it sounds. Create a sustainable value proposition that doesn’t drive your employees insane. Too much focus on the next new thing or LTO can make things difficult on those on the front lines. Your org has to address the full scope of human needs now. People go to their company now to ensure their life can be better — not just their jobs. Create one of a kind experiences in the daily lives of your employees. Your team is the face of your brand. Ensuring they are happy in their role will trickle down to a positive experience for your guests. If the guests are happy, your business will thrive. Keep a finger on the pulse of your team members. Take your employee engagement score seriously, and actually address the issues that arise. Be very intentional with your marketing, your roll out, and howto get your team to embrace initiatives. The more we can focus the team in initiatives, the better the outcome.
