So what is the fundamental reason for this fail? The struggles facing Group Black and Black Owned Media stems back to Corporate America and brands continuing to undervalue and underinvest in the Black Consumer Market. From a budget standpoint “flat is the new up”. Despite the continued cultural influence and economic buying power of Black Consumers, the investment still doesn’t match up with the business results and business contribution. Are we in the midst of a 21st century version of “benign neglect”? BTW even today reach and frequency doesn’t equate to relevance.

TECHNOMANCER 🧙🏿‍♂️ WIZARD FUTURISTS My deep Kwanzaa love came before I confirmed being part African ethnically, and I was particularly drawn to the rich tapestry of Afrofuturism, a futurist movement that reimagines the narratives of the African diaspora through the lens of science fiction and technology. This cultural framework pushes the boundaries of time, integrating the past, present, and future to envision a vibrant, inclusive tomorrow. Central to this visionary landscape is the technomancer, a figure that embodies the fusion of ancient mysticism and futuristic technology. The term "technomancer" combines "techno-", referring to technology, with "-mancer", from the Greek word "manteia", which means divination. Historically appearing in the late 20th century within science fiction and fantasy, technomancers were initially depicted as individuals who wield technology as if it were magic. As technology became an integral part of daily life, the image of the technomancer evolved to reflect its increasingly magical-seeming capabilities. In the context of Afrofuturism, the technomancer is reimagined not just as a user of technology, but as a visionary leader who melds spiritual and ancestral wisdom with futuristic foresight. This approach is about more than leveraging technology; it's about rewriting historical narratives and addressing present injustices to liberate future generations. Afrofuturist technomancers draw upon African spiritual traditions, the resilience of history, and a spirit of innovation to guide and redefine the future.
