Sarasota Scullers is the original organized youth rowing club in Sarasota. Utilizing my business acumen in building and turning around organizations, my contribution to Sarasota Scullers has been to build the strategic and operational foundation for the next generation organization. We began by securing a 20 year lease to operate out of the county Blackburn Park. We raised the funds to build a new expanded rowing site which include a visitor facility to host training teams for 2017 World Championships. We secured a grant from the Selby Foundation to purchase boats to build a middle school program. And then we recruited a world class rowing coach from Germany to head the program.
